About Us

Cartwright Vehicle Conversions offers a range of converted vehicles for the commercial market, mobility, ambulance, police, temperature control, and security sectors, from its dedicated ISO9001 facility in North East Lincolnshire.

All our conversions are designed by industry-leading engineers to be fit-for-purpose, cost-effective, safe, and meet the highest operational and passenger safety standards. We manage every part of the build in-house from beginning to end so you have one point of contact and we can maintain a consistent standard of quality throughout the entire build.

All our vehicles are engineered to meet high standards of safety and every product comes with an aftercare package that includes access to a nationwide network of warranty partners to keep you on the road.

The OEM vehicle models, materials, and components used in the build and conversion processes are chosen for their performance and durability. All our conversions are designed and manufactured for maximum longevity and reliability, which adds value for our customers by saving them money throughout the life of the vehicle.

CERTIFICATION

Our conversions comply with the national vehicle legislative and environmental requirements that surround the vehicle conversions industry, including:

  • VCA (Vehicle Certification Agency) type approval
  • NSSTA (National Small Series Type Approval)
  • ECWVTA (European Community Whole Vehicle Type Approval) and
  • CEN 1789 European Safety Standard for ambulance conversions

In addition to these certifications, we apply our own rigorous quality checks to ensure every vehicle produced by Cartwright Vehicle Conversions conforms to the highest industry standards before it is signed-off and presented to the customer.

AFTER SALES & WARRANTY

We know that all vehicles leaving our factory are of the highest standard and reliability, furthermore, we offer on-going support including a complete peace of mind 12 months, nationwide after-sales warranty as standard.

Additional warranty options are available from two years through to the full operational life of the vehicle.

Pre and post vehicle delivery home visits are offered to all of our Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle Customers, where we discuss and agree on the right choice of vehicle specification, provide a full vehicle overview, and a comprehensive demonstration, making the whole experience as relaxing, informative, and enjoyable as possible.

Our parent company's Built in Britain promise enables us to maintain quality controls throughout the entire design, build and conversion processes. In addition to VCA Conformity of Production (COP) – which evidences the ability to produce a series of products that exactly match the specification, performance and marking requirements as outlined in the type approval documentation - and ISO9001 certification - which recognise consistency of quality, design and production - we apply our own rigorous quality checks to ensure every vehicle produced by Cartwright Conversions conforms to the highest industry standards before it is signed-off and presented to the customer.
