Trek-Group company, SVP, deliver 42 Ford Mach-E ambulances to the London Ambulance Service
The Mustang Mach-Es are fitted with emergency service warning equipment and a crew safety system including cameras, a panic button, electronic tracking equipment.
The London Ambulance Service is operating 42x Ford Mustang Mach-E Fast Response Units (FRUs) that have been specially converted by SVP Ltd* to meet the needs of Paramedics responding to 999 calls across the Capital.
The Mustang Mach-Es are fitted with emergency service warning equipment and a crew safety system including cameras, a panic button, electronic tracking equipment.
The emergency warning and operational equipment are powered by an auxiliary 12v battery system rather than taking power from the vehicle propulsion battery. A solar panel has been integrated into the auxiliary power system to further extend the zero local emissions system.
It takes just 40 minutes to charge the Mustang battery to 80% allowing the car to travel up to 300 miles, which is about ten times further than an ambulance would normally cover on a shift.
