TREK-GROUP is ecstatic to announce it has been crowned as ‘The International Trade Champion’ winner in the 2023 Sheffield Business Awards.
Held at The Octagon Centre, the black-tie event on 12th October, celebrated business excellence in the region with more than 500 attendees from a wide range of industries.
The annual business awards held by the Sheffield Chamber of Commerce received more than 170 entries across 15 categories. With a minimum of three judges per award, a rigorous, standardised judging matrix ensured consistency and legitimacy in the judging process.
Trek-Group is a range of companies all linked to automotive, engineering and transport industries. The privately owned business was founded in 2000 and now employs more than 400 staff in engineering, sales, manufacturing, automotive dealerships, fleet rental, supply, parts and design.

Trek-Group significantly expanded its operations by entering the emergency vehicle market in 2020. Its ambitious export strategy has proved successful with the group providing vehicles to the Hong Kong Fire Brigade, Qatar ambulance service (steel and energy ambulances), and ambulances exported to the Falklands, Bermuda and Saudi Arabia.

Trek-Group exported its first vehicle in 2008; an Equi-Trek Sonic horsebox. The group now exports a wide range of vehicles across multiple sectors to more than 40 countries, including much of continental Europe, USA, Canada, Japan, Hong Kong, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Australia and New Zealand.
The group has four technical and engineering centres and five retails sites, operating in three sectors: equestrian, ambulance, blue light & security, and motorhomes. The group’s rental business, Hire-Trek, is a provider of specialist vehicles, from ambulances to trailers and horseboxes.
Trek-Group headquarters are at Stocksbridge, Sheffield, on a 75-acre site employing 250 people in the local area. The site is home to a trailer servicing and vehicle sales and hire company (Trek-Trailers Sheffield), a state-of-the art paint and bodyshop (Auto-Trek) and the Equi-Trek and Moto-Trek manufacturing. Services include vehicle conversion, service and repair, hire, commercial paint, signwriting and livery.
